Business in Downtown Grand Junction Closed Due to COVID
We came across a post of a bunch of pictures of merchandise on a local Facebook group that was titled '354 Main Street going out of business mega sale.' After looking up the address, we found out that another business in downtown Grand Junction was closing.
If you're wondering which one, located at 354 Main Street in Grand Junction was Technique Salon. Technique Salon recently posted this statement on their Facebook:
Unfortunately due to COVID circumstances, I must announce that Tencinique Salon will be closing for good...
Technique Salon's Facebook statement went on to say that final sales on fixtures, furniture, clothing, and more will be made through Monday, February 15. Many of the comments on Technique Salon's Facebook and the local Facebook group say things like 'sorry to see you are going out of business' and 'I will miss that beautiful salon.'
It seems like the community is sad to see Technique Salon in downtown Grand Junction close for good. We hate seeing local businesses closing due to COVID-19. A shoe store that had been family-owned for three generations in downtown Grand Junction was also forced to close and it's not the only business that's closed.
Benge's Shoe Store closed along with other Grand Junction businesses including Spin City, Old Man Grill and more are now closed.
It's so important to support local businesses, now more than ever. We hope that no more local businesses will be forced to close due to COVID-19 and that we see the opposite of that - more local businesses opening in Grand Junction, not closing.
