Enjoy a Night of Board Games in Downtown Grand Junction
Last night I discovered a very cool, unique place right here in Grand Junction. It's a board game store and hangout called Board Fox Games.
Located at 623 Main Street, Board Fox Games is a haven for fans of Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and a plethora of other board, card and dice games.
Not only does Board Fox Games have a wide selection of games and accessories for sale, but they also allow patrons to play games in the store during hours of operation. In addition, the gameplay is only five dollars, with the exception of every Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm where gameplay is free.
One of the employees, Matt, also has an interesting story. He is actually the designer of a popular game sold at the store called Ecosystem.
Board Fox Games also sells coffee, tea, snacks, and other refreshments.
Board Fox Games is certainly a fun, and unique place with everything you need for gaming, including paints for hardcore gamers that paint their own figures used in gameplay.
My experience at Board Fox Games was definitely an enjoyable one. The staff is extremely friendly, the shop has a nice atmosphere, and everyone playing games that night treated each other like family. In fact, the regulars are a tight-knit group of friends that welcome newcomers and will even invite you to play games with them.
