Aspen Snowmass Lift Ticket Price Travels Back in Time to the 1960’s
Can your brain wrap itself around the concept of skiing Aspen Snowmass for under $10? Mine can't. I can barely imagine skiing that resort for under $200. This season, the hot tub time machine will take you back, for one day at least, to the days of yesteryear when you could ski for $6.50.
Personally, I stopped skiing Aspen Snowmass due to the fact I was tired of having to mortgage my house in order to purchase a lift ticket.
According to KKCO 11 News, the resort is celebrating their 50th anniversary by offering lift tickets for the same price as what they cost you back in 1967 - exactly $6.50.
How long will this discounted price be available? Exactly one day - Friday, December 15.
Is there a catch? Not really. Okay, just one. If you don't have an Aspen card, an extra $5 will be tacked on when you purchase your tickets online.
Will Aspen Snowmass offer any other festivities in honor of their 50th anniversary? Of course. Throughout the weekend you can enjoy:
- Banana Days
- anniversary party
- vintage skiing and riding day
- cabin jump
- rail jam
It would be worth heading up there just to be able to say you skied for $6.50. This is your chance to ski a world-class resort at 1967 prices. Start planning now.
