Ariana Grande Just Tweeted for the First Time Since Her Split With Pete Davidson
Ariana Grande just posted on Twitter, in the midst of reports that she and Pete Davidson have called off their engagement. The pop star did not mention the news, or talk about her relationship with Pete Davidson at all. Instead, she chose to focus on an upcoming career milestone.
"Honored to be included in this celebration of 15 years of my favorite musical of all time," she tweeted Monday (October 15). "Wouldn’t miss it for the whole universe." Grande included the hashtag #Wicked15 and a photo of what appears to be a script from the upcoming special celebrating 15 years of the Broadway musical, Wicked.
Grande's specific part in A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway hasn't been officially confirmed, but from the context behind the photo (this song in question is sung by Elphaba), as well as fan speculation, it looks like there's a good chance Grande will be starring in the leading role originally played by Idina Menzel. Menzel has also signed on for the the special, which is set to air Monday, October 29 on NBC, according to People. Grande and Menzel will be joined by Adam Lambert, Pentatonix, and the original Glinda lead, Kristin Chenoweth, plus the current cast of the hit musical.
