I always thought it was "Dandy" Don Meredith on Monday Night Football who coined the phrase "all good things must end". He would sing it near the end of the game when the outcome was no longer in question."Turn out the lights, the party's over, they say that all good things must end...." Then I realized that it was a real song when I played a  Willie Nelson 45 on the radio. But it wasn't his idea either. It was actually Jule Styn who wrote the lyrics to "Party's Over"  back in 1956. Turns out it wasn't his idea either.

Actually, the proverb dates back to Chaucer in 1374. "There is an end to everything, to good things as well."  So when you hear someone say, they say "all good things must end," now you know who "they" refers to.

But the whole point is this. This weekend is the last chance for you to buy Girl Scout Cookies.  Cookie sales are coming to an end. I love Girl Scout cookies....the yummy shortbread Trefoils, the coconut laden Samoa's, and the peanut butter sandwich Do-si-dos are my favorites. And believe me, I've had my fill of all three this year. Most of us look forward to Girl Scout cookie sales, because it only happens once a year.  And the sales don't last for long.

This weekend the girls will be out at various locations around town selling these delicious morsels for $3.50 a box. Never mind that the cookies are so darned good. Your purchase of a box or two will help support the Girl Scouts of Western Colorado.

Here's where you'll find cookies this weekend.
