Being in media and always trying to keep up with pop culture, I have to read and hear about things that, well, I don't really care about. So here's how I became heartless.

Where is this stemming from? Well our dear friend Roxi stopped by my office and in her chipper voice said, "OMG! Guess who got kicked off the 'Bachelor' last night?!"

It's at this point my brain turned to mush, not because Roxi was talking to me, but because I don't really care. I told her I had no idea and really didn't care. Not to be mean, just truthful, knowing I was going to find out when I read her post about it.

I made a comment, trying to be funny, about this on my Facebook, pretty much the lines as above, but with one extra added; "Sometimes I think she (Roxi) forgets I have a [part that makes me a boy.]

In the comments, Roxi said, "You do!? What about a heart?" How does not liking the "Bachelor" make me heartless? Quiet frankly I don't know how girls can get into as much as they do.

Let me explain.

First, you root on a dude that's dating multiple women at once, if this were the real world he'd be a dog/a-hole/jerk/cheater/etc.

Second, the girls are all hookers, in the mind of the viewers, except a select few that are obviously just really darn good at fooling y'all!

Lastly, haven't all of these pseudo-relationships end in some horrible "after the show" fight where extensions and glitter fly around like a drunk cupid?

I get it, it's about the drama, the "catiness" of being a girl -- I know I'll be castrated after that comment, but come on whatever happened to good old soap operas where you knew it was fake, the romantic focus of that week would return a few decades. Yes that is a General Hospital reference, my mom had to watch her soaps!

If not digging the "Bachelor" makes me heartless, consider me the Tin Man.
