78-Year-Old Man Punched Over A Nutella Waffle

Now this is something I have never seen or heard of before. 2 Men getting into battle over a waffle. Not only a waffle, a free sample of a Nutella Waffle!

Two men, Derrick Gharabighi who is 24, and a 78-year-old man (name unknown) were shopping at a California Costco. Mr. Gharbighi was sampling Nutella Waffles.

As the elderly shopper reached out to grab one, Gharabighi snatched all the Nutella samples The older man told Derrick that he should only take one of the samples.

Derrick Gharabighi responded to the man, by punching him in the face. So hard in fact, that he elder ended up with a one inch cut and facial swelling. According to the Los Angeles Times

Gharabighi, was arrested and is being held on $50,000 bail He faces one count of elder abuse, as well as the special allegation that he inflicted great bodily harm on the elderly man, If Gharabighi is convicted, he faces up to 11 years in state prison.

All this over a sample? I can only imagine what would have happened if the guy cut in line at the checkout!
