7 Things John Elway Might Do Now That He’s Officially Left the Denver Broncos
For decades John Elway has been a part of the Denver Broncos organization. He's been a fixture in not only Denver but the entire state of Colorado. Now that he's parted ways with the team, what will he do?
John Elway has had a tremendous career in Denver. He's an NFL Hall of Fame quarterback, he was a part of making Denver a respected team in the league, and he won the Lombardi trophy as not only a player but as GM as well. The list goes on.. what will John do now? We have some ideas.
When it comes to "six degrees of separation," I would have to bet that you know someone who knows someone, who has "hung out" with John Elway in some fashion. John's first season with the Denver Broncos was in 1983; after 40 years of being in Denver and Colorado, he's met "more than a few" people.
Though his later years as Denver's GM weren't spectacular, nobody will say that John Elway doesn't deserve to be revered for what hid did accomplish while being a part of the Broncos. That southern drawl, that smile, "The Drive." His legacy will live on for 40 more years, at least.

Here he is though, with only a "call me if you need me" relationship with the team. He'll probably even have an office at the stadium that he can use whenever he wants; he's loved that much. He does have time on his hands now, though. Let's take a look at seven things that "ol' #7" can do with this "retirement."
EXPAND THE ELWAY'S CHAIN
Currently, there are only four Elway's steakhouses in Colorado; that's small [baked[ potatoes now that John has more time. Imagine an Elway's in Fort Collins or several across the nation.
OPEN A CASINO IN BLACKHAWK
Can't you see John having fun owning a casino? He'd walk around, shaking hands with a beer in the opposite hand, making sure everyone was having fun while they lose. "I remember losing..." he'd chuckle. He could name it "Lucky 7's."
INVEST IN COLORADO CRAFT BREWING
"Legendary Beers" could be the motto of a brewery that John starts. I can see all the beers having a "football" reference. "How about an PI IPA?" he'd ask as you sat down. Maybe he could just invest in Great Divide Brewing - a subtle nod to the "divide" between him and Mike Shanahan.
FORGET BEER: INVEST IN 'ORANGE CRUSH'
John could wrap his arms around the Broncos' (and his) history by buying a stake in Orange Crush soda. He could make sure all the bottles came with a helmet on top.

SEND BRONCOS FANS TO LAS VEGAS TO TAUNT THE RAIDERS
Can't you see John setting up a yearly contest where winners would get a trip to Las Vegas so that they could go to a Broncos vs Raiders game? He'd make sure that everyone shouted "Raiders, Suck!' as loud as they can while at the game.
GET BACK IN THE 'CAR' GAME
John has made a lot of money off the field with his investments, most notably his automobile chain, "Elway Motors" Why not a lot of high-end used vehicles.. he could call it "GOAT Motors."
GET HIS NAME ON THE STADIUM
John may not have the amount of money it would take to gain naming rights to Mile High Stadium, but he could be a part of a group.. Let's say: BEM Stadium - Bowlen, Elway, Manning.
