Managing the numbers of people who make the trek up to see Hanging lake is easier for Visit Glenwood these days.

Starting this year you need a reservation to go to Hanging Lake and over 6,180 people have done so so far. The reservations run from May 1 to October 31 so there is plenty of time for you to still make yours, but with so many people already making reservations, you may want to think about doing it sooner rather than later.

Hanging Lake, as you know, is one of the most beautiful places in Colorado but recent visitors have made it feel less so with graffiti and other activities so it became necessary to limit and monitor those who do make the climb.

Taking the shuttle to Hanging Lake also eliminated the need to hope for a place to park. You just get on the shuttle, it takes you to Hanging Lake then licks you up for the return trip.

The fact that we don't have to try and park there as well as knowing the site will be safer makes it once again a must-see destination.

Just don't forget to make your reservation.
