13 Random Photos of Grand Junction Residents of the 1940s

It's a rainy day, so I thought I would root through some of my grandpa's photos and round up a handful of totally random photos of Grand Junction residents. Today's focus, the late 1940s.

In no particular order, and with no specific theme, these are 13 photos of Grand Junction and Western Colorado residents doing what they do. Everything from car wrecks, school, building bridges, to bullets through windshields.

In most cases, it was possible to track down the specific date each photo was taken. In some cases, names are provided for those pictured. All of these images were lifted from negatives from Bob Grant's career. I have Bob's old negative cabinet at my house. It's loaded with tens of thousands of negatives, most in sleeves, some of which include information as to the contents.

These negatives are scanned, reversed, and then shared here. This is a lifetime project, and very slow going.
