One of the benefits - or hazards - of living in Colorado is that you never know what's going to be crossing the road.

It could be deer or cows, or elk or moose. It might be a coyote or a fox, or a bear or raccoon.

Usually, it's just one thing, but sometimes an entire herd wants to cross the road -- to get to the other side. That was the case in this video, captured on the wildlife refuge near Monte Vista. An entire herd of elk parades across the road as if they didn't have a care in the world.

It's a wondrous thing to see and serves as a reminder to be on the lookout for Colorado wildlife anytime you're on the road.
