As a parent, you are always looking to think of creative ways to punish your kids for misbehaving. Today, there is a growing trend of 'shaming' in public. I have seen dog shaming pictures on the web and I have seen teens holding hands in the hallway for getting in a fight but I think 'shaming' your teen or younger child in public is wrong.

Having a teenage hold a sign that says 'I stole money from a family member' does not teach a lesson. If anything that teaches them that you don't believe in the better side of them. Yes, stealing is wrong but holding a sign to show the world, does that do anything? It might embarrass them, but will they really learn a lesson?
