A truck driver in Utah is lucky to be alive after his truck was smashed by a train when the crossing arms failed to go down.

The accident happened in Salt Lake City on Saturday, according to WYFF4 TV.

As the truck approached the railroad crossing, there was reportedly no flashing lights, ringing bells, or lowered crossing arms to indicate there was an approaching train.

Fortunately, the cab of the truck had crossed the tracks when the train slammed into the big rig's trailer, smashing it to smithereens. No injuries were reported.
