It's chilling to watch this video of a Colorado man talk about his pregnant wife's disappearance one day before confessing to killing her and their two kids.

Chris Watts, of Frederick, was interviewed on Tuesday by TV station Denver 7 about his wife's disappearance. On Wednesday, he allegedly confessed to killing his wife and kids.

In the television interview, Watts talks about his last contact with his wife and wondering if she left on foot or by car. He talked about wanting his kids back safe.

If someone has them and they aren't safe, I want them back now. Last night I was hoping that I would just get run over by the kids running in the door, but it didn't happen. My kids are my life. Those smiles light up my life."

Watts was asked by the reporter if he had gotten into an argument with his wife, to which he said it wasn't an argument but rather "an emotional conversation. I'll leave it at that."

Watts made an appearance in court Thursday in Weld County, where the judge ordered him held without bond. Formal charges are yet to be filed, and another court appearance is scheduled for next week.
