We all suffer from the battle of the bulge. We diet, and we try to exercise and stay healthy. According to UPI here is a way that will help you to do just that.

All of us know that getting daily exercise is recommended by doctors, and is a proven way to lose weight.

According to researchers at Ohio State University, varying your speed while walking increases your chances of losing weight. The theory is that not everyone lives on a treadmill. We all have different speeds that we walk everyday, and most surveys do not take that into account. According to Manoj Srinivasan, a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at Ohio State:

"You'll get different walking speeds for different distances. Some people have been measuring these speeds with relatively short distances, which our results suggest, might be systematically underestimating progress."

Another tip to losing weight while walking is to change it up a bit. Wear a backpack, or weights, this will change the way your body responds to exercise.
