The Denver Broncos announced Monday morning (December 31, 2018), the day after losing to the Chargers 23-9 at home and wrapping the season at 6-10, that they have given Head Coach Vance Joseph the boot.

Two back-to-back losing seasons just wasn't the trend that John Elway, Joe Ellis, and other Broncos HQ executives were hoping for under his tenure.

In the statement released by the Broncos, Joe Ellis states that [John Elway has his full support in making whatever changes are necessary to improve the team.]

I don't think I know a single person that didn't think VJ would be fired, it was just a matter of WHEN.
