I'm one of those people where my favorite things are always changing and shifting, so these are my 5 favorite sandwiches in Grand Junction, right now. I know there is a ton of great restaurants, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, in fact, I'd love to hear yours! However, these are mine:

1. The Shroomin' from The Local

This sandwich can be found at The Local. It's a Panini with grilled chicken and sliced grilled portabella mushrooms, swiss cheese, and grilled onions. Pair it with some of their local hot sauces and some Colorado beer, and you've got one heck of a meal.

2. The Cheesesteak Sandwich from Thunderstruck Valley

It sounds simple enough, we've all had cheesesteak sandwiches. However, this one has onions and peppers and they even have a TSV brand they brand into the bun, which makes the whole experience feel that much more awesome!

3. The Bison Burger from The Wine Country Inn

If you're like me, you're a huge fan of buffalo meat, and this Bison Burger will not disappoint. It's juicy, and hearty, and big enough to fill a lumberjack's stomach. It's a short drive out to Palisade, but the Inn is right off of I-70, and the scenery on the way is well worth the drive.

4. The Monte Cristo from The Blue Moon

If you've never had a Monte Cristo, they can only be described one way, the sandwich of all sandwiches. If you've had a Monte Cristo, then I can only say these are the Monte Cristo of Monte Cristo's. I've only had one Monte Cristo better than these guys crank out, and that was at the Blue Bayou in Disneyland, but I'm fairly certain Disney puts crack in all of they products. The Blue Moon has one heck of a Monte Cristo, not the healthiest sandwich, but if you're treating yourself, this is where to do it.

5. The Italian Melt from Old Chicago

Ok, I know that this is not EXACTLY local, but for a chain restaurant they do a great job of being involved in the local scene! Their Italian melt doesn't stray from the recipe, there's nothing crazy added, or anything super unique about it, other than it's just really really really good. If you are an Italian Melt fan, you can't go wrong ordering one at Old Chicago in Grand Junction.

So those are my top 5 sandwiches in Grand Junction, Colorado, right now. Please please please share your favorites, I want to hear everyone's thoughts on this one!
