Everyone has a competitive spirit, and in radio we are NO different. We have challenged our sister station in Abilene, Texas to take a list of Colorado words and attempt to pronounce them correctly. What they say will leave you in stitches!

Living in Colorado, we know we have some strange looking words, and our own way of saying them.

Out-of-staters tend to use the "traditional" Spanish pronunciations of places like Salida. We say "sa-LYE-duh," while non-natives might use the Spanish version, "sa-LEE-duh."

How about Buena Vista? Coloradans might say, "b-YOO-na vista," while visitors will say "b-way-na vista."

Of course in return, we are later going to attempt to say some words from Texas.

Good Luck, Texans, you are going to need it! Haha
