One very important thing to know when you are taking wine out, make sure you call ahead to the establishment and ensure that you can bring wine from home.

Another important thing you need to know is Corkage, strange word but here is what it means. If you take a bottle of wine into an establishment, you may be charged a fee (15 to 50 bucks) for a service of the wine that the staff would normally do.

Be sure that if you take a wine into a restaurant that you do not bring one that is on the wine list. That would more than likely make for an uncomfortable situation and would not fend well with the owners.

Finally, ensure that your staff is well taken care of with a nice tip. Even though you brought your own wine, they still waited on you!
