You wouldn't expect flash flood conditions on a snow-covered mountain side, but that's exactly what you get in this amazing video from the National Weather service.
Grand Junction commuters awoke this morning (Feb 4) to snow falling across the valley. Under the fresh snow, a layer of ice from the day before made the morning commute both slow and treacherous. Traffic along F Road, where this photo was taken, was moving along at 10-20 mph and many motorists were still sliding into and out of the intersections.
