In the Internet's unending tradition of doing the most, numerous viewers have reportedly expressed a deep attraction to the man who wears the heavy, wool Chewbacca costume in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

According to reliable taste-making website Buzzfeed, certain subsets of the web have fallen for Joonas Suotamo, the fair-haired human enshrouded beneath Chewbacca's mammoth outfit. The 29-year-old Finnish basketball player was reportedly hired as a stand-in for legendary Star Wars actor Peter Mayhew (standing at 7'2", he portrayed the original Chewbacca), who now has issues with mobility.

For those of you intent on further tracking Suotamo's every move, fear not: He has a decent online presence including Twitter and Instagram. Follow him to your heart’s content.

In related Star Wars: The Force Awakens news, the movie has officially gone on to earn the title of highest-grossing film of all time in North America.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the mega-popular movie surpassed Avatar’s domestic record of $760.50 million in a mere 20 days. Avatar maintains its lead globally, having grossed $2.78 billion worldwide, while Star Wars has so far made $1.58 as of yesterday (January 7). It should be noted, however, that the movie has yet to be released in China — that’ll happen on January 9.

Box-office experts believe Star Wars: The Force Awakens will gross between $2.2 billion to $2.4 billion worldwide, successfully earning the slot of the No. 2 highest grossing film of all time, eclipsing James Cameron’s other massively popular film Titanic but coming up short, just beneath Avatar.

The official Star Wars site posted a message of thanks to fans for helping break multiple box office records. It read, in part: "We are proud of these records, but know that they would not be possible without fans’ enthusiasm and continued support. We feel it here and it drives us every day, and it will continue to in the very bright future of Star Wars. There has indeed been an awakening — and it’s all thanks to you."
