We have all heard the saying "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all".

Well on June 1st it is National Say Something Nice Day. This day is for everyone to be nice to each other and just say something nice. It is a good way to counter bullying.

Even though you should say something nice to anyone you come across anyways this day is meant for you to be extra nice to the people that are around you.

It was all started by Mayor Keith Summey of North Charleston, South Carolina. He wanted to create a day that would have everyone say something nice to someone. By being nice it creates a comfort level with people around you.

We need more people to be nice and thoughtful it starts a chain reaction. If you're nice to someone then that changes their mood and then they are nice to someone else. Nobody is the same and with that, we need to respect all walks of life.

Use the hashtag #SaySomethingNiceDay for social media. Having all the social media platforms you can be nice to so many more people.

I know any person I come into contact with I will be as nice as I can possibly be!
