A local Grand Junction resident, along with a group of Colorado Mesa University students have partnered for perhaps one of the hottest new local products on the culinary scene.According to the Post Independent Chris Becker who is a co-founder and creator of the Rocky Mountain Sriracha Sauce along with his CMU partners recently started a crowd funded campaign to raise money for the project. They are halfway to their goal of $8000 and have till June 14 to reach that goal.

According to the CMU students involved in the project, what makes Rocky Mountain Sriracha Sauce different from the rest are the ingredients. Fresh fresno peppers from Louisiana, organic garlic from Avon Colorado, organic agave nectar and sea salt along with a light vinegar set theirs apart from the rest.

CMU graduate and co-owner Brandon Burton says "It's semi-sweet from the agave nectar and warm from the peppers," it has a kick to it.
