Polis is Sworn In, Hickenlooper Tweets Goodbye

It's been a week of change for Colorado, with Jared Polis sworn in as our new governor and John Hickenlooper closing the door on his time at the helm.

Today, Hickenlooper tweeted a sweet goodbye to his time as governor, saying that Colorado will always be his community, his home, and his passion:

Jared Polis's inauguration has been the talk of the nation ever since Polis was elected, as he is the first-ever openly gay man elected to the governor seat in the United States. Hickenlooper has stated his support for Polis in the past, and seems happy to hand over the reins.
