We haven’t seen the last of Transformers, or any of Hasbro’s other properties on the big screen yet. The toy company and Paramount have signed a production-distribution deal that’ll see the two companies making movies together for the next five years. Hasbro has launched its Allspark Pictures and Allspark Animation, which will produce live-action and animated films based on its toy products.

Variety reports that both Paramount and Hasbro will finance their films, with Paramount distributing, and television projects are also included in the exclusive deal. Paramount and Hasbro have collaborated on five Transformers movies and two G.I. Joe movies, and are working on a Bumblebee spinoff that hits theaters next December.

The deal comes on the heels of a pretty mediocre year for Paramount at the box office, with Transformers: The Last Knight underperforming and titles like Baywatch and Suburbicon failing to draw in audiences. Hasbro has a wealth of properties to draw from and has recently been making movies based on other shows and toys like My Little Pony and Jem and the Holograms. Does this mean Hasbro will delve deeper into its arsenal of material? Will we get another Battleship? A Dungeons & Dragons movie? Is that Transformers-G.I. Joe mashup ever going to happen?
