The fine folks at Mental Floss sort out the origins of some of the most notable Holiday traditions we see/use/do every year!

I've always found some of the most popular holiday traditions a little bit weird. I still followed a lot of them but it's nice to know where they come from and WHY we do them.

The most interesting one from this video, to me, was the mistletoe. I never understood why you're supposed to kiss under it. Thankfully I've never been caught under one because with my luck... the other person under the mistletoe would be the wrong person.
