Seven screens, recliner chairs, upgraded menu, and a new sound system are just some of the changes hitting the old Carmike building.

Picture Show Entertainment purchased the property and has been actively renovating the theatre to catch it up to the 21st century. New seats, including recliner chairs, are included in the changes, along with a brand new sound system. Food choices are also getting an upgrade, to include more dinner-like and appetizer options. Some of the seven screens will have the capability to show 3D films.

The company is trying to get the theater opened by mid-November. They are still trying to figure out what the ticket prices will be, but according to their website, they strive to keep everything budget friendly.

Picture Show Entertainment has set up a Facebook page to keep Grand Junction residents in the loop of all the updates.
