This day encourages you to wear purple to bring awareness to epilepsy. Too many people believe that epilepsy is something that is contagious. This is not true at all. Almost 50 million people suffer from epilepsy and in a lot of cases, there is no cause for this condition.

Some reasons epilepsy may happen is from disease or from a stroke. There is a treatment for it although children may not know what is going on. I have a couple friends that suffer from epileptic seizures so this really hits home for me.

One is worse than the other, but both get hit by it randomly. Going out fishing and trying to take care of a friend who is having an epileptic seizure is scary. It almost makes you freeze because you don't know what to do.

So on March 26th wear purple for those who are suffering from Epilepsy. It really means a lot.
