Beliebers turn up in the most unexpected of places, including Runyon Canyon. Justin Bieber was hiking earlier this week when he ended up having an impromptu heart-to-heart conversation with a complete stranger.

TMZ reports that the singer was hiking through the famous Los Angeles park when a man named Mike Maedke recognized him and called out, "Hey Biebs, what's up?" (We give him credit for not passing out in a dead faint, like we would if we casually bumped into JB.)

The site reports that the two chatted for about 20 minutes, including discussing how much Justin misses Canada. The "Home to Mama" singer reportedly looked at Hollywood and noted, "It's so chaotic down there."

According to TMZ, Justin didn't seem hurried as the two chatted. Two girls reportedly recognized him, so the singer gave Maedke a fist bump and left — but not before snapping a selfie with his new friend. You can check it out over at TMZ.

In other Justin news, the singer is rumored to make his return to the stage!  JB will headline the Fusion Festival in Birmingham, U.K. on August 28.

"There are some great artists on the lineup so to be headlining the Friday night is a real honor," Justin said (via Sky News).

The singer confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "honored to be headlining Fusion Festival Birmingham UK on Aug 28th. tickets on sale friday at 9am UK time. It's time."
