Holiday shopping over the years, has changed. Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, but what if shopping on Christmas Day was the next big thing? 

CBS news is reporting that Christmas Day shopping could be the next big thing. A  consulting company LoyaltyOne agrees.

According to Dennis Armbruster from Loyalty One Consulting, he says that shopping on Christmas Day and retailers

Dennis predicts that retailers will start opening on Christmas Day within three years.

When consumers were asked if they would take part in Christmas Day sales, they said they would take advantage of Christmas Day store hours if retailers opened their doors at 6 p.m. that evening.

 

Increased competition from online rivals -- may make retailers do just that. It would allow shoppers to get a leg up on post-holiday sales, as well as returns.
