I Gotta Pee!

If you're anything like me, you know that going to the movies just isn't complete without snacks, and for me, that usually includes a really big diet soda in my hand to wash down all that buttery popcorn.But, this inevitably creates a little dilemma:  you can bet that sometime during the film, nature will call.  Followed by the internal dialogue you have with yourself ... "I can wait.  No.  No I can't.  I'll wait till this next scene ends.  But what if I miss something important?  I spent good money to see this, I don't want to miss anything.  I should have gotten the small drink.  Why do I always think I need the Large?  I'll just wait. I can wait it out. Mmmmm (fidgeting in seat).  I can't wait.  Gotta go...NOW."

If the above conversation sounds familiar, rejoice movie goers --- I have found (excuse the pun) the "golden ticket" :  A web site/mobile app that tells you when i'ts safe to take that all important break!

It's called RunPee, and as the name suggests, it tells you exactly when in the movie you wont be missing anything crucial and can safely plan your escape route! Halleluja!

Here's how it works:  Go to www.RunPee.com  and select the movie you are wanting to see.  Times will be noted where you can take a break (i.e.  at 56 minutes   After Bruce tells Claire that he has hemmoroids.  Sad music begins to play.  You have 3 minutes.)  It will give you a brief summary of what you will miss, if you're interested, and that way you don't worry about leaving at the wrong moment. The mobile app is even cooler -- (available for iphone, android or windows phones)

1. Search for the app under "RunPee" and install (it's FREE).

2. Select the movie you're watching.

3. When the movie begins, after the credits, start the timer.

4. Your phone will vibrate before each "peetime" in the movie.

5. 'Runpee 'and read what's happening in the movie while you're away.

6. Return to your seat and enjoy the rest of the movie!

The mobile app also has a few additional features that are pretty awesome, like letting you know if you need to stay after the credits for any additional scenes, quick reviews of the movie, and links to the soundtrack information if there is one.
