Dua Lipa and Stormzy may have been the big winners of the 2018 BRITs, taking home two awards apiece, but three-piece band HAIM — or, at least member Este — was the ceremony's true darling.

While Jack Whitehall interviewed Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole at the February 21 awards show, Este took it upon herself to videbomb the chat, turning to camera and making a series of exaggerated gestures including the classic "Call me!" with a mock-phone held up to her ear. Immediately, she became a Twitter-sensation for the pantomiming, and the site exploded with adoration:

"Este Haim at the BRITs is everything I aspire to be in life," one user noted, while another wrote: "Este Haim was the most memorable moment of this years BRITs and I am living for it."

Many insisted that the moment was the product of drunkenness, but Este quickly cleared things up on Twitter.

Este later claimed during a subsequent appearance on Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 breakfast show that there was "no beef" between her and either Cole or Payne, and that the moment was all in the spirit of humor.

Still, it wasn't all fun and games for the sisters — they got serious about industry sexism during a red carpet interview before the show, and told NME it's still common for them to be dismissed by men who produce their live shows.

The stories are endless,” Alana said. “We used to go into venues, we would show up for soundcheck, the sound guy would be on his phone and we’d go ‘oh, can I hear a little more of my voice?’ Then you’d get an eye roll.”

Danielle doubled down on the point, noting: “The worst is actually after when someone from the venue goes ‘oh, you guys were actually OK’, or ‘oh, you guys actually play instruments.”

Still, Alana said the band is still eager to give British fans some memorable shows across a coming UK tour.

“We’re going to give you what you want,” Alana said. “We’re really excited about this tour because we wanted to make every show extra special. No two shows are going to be the same. It’s going to be a huge party. We named it ‘Sister Sister Sister’ Tour because we’re all in this together, and we’re going to rage. Come rage with us.”
