What is Habitat For Humanity? Habitat For Humanity is an organization that was founded by biblical scholar Clarence Jordan and then became well known because of Jimmy Carter's personal involvement.

Also fundamental in creating Habitat for Humanity was  Millard and Linda Fuller who developed the concept of “partnership housing. In which no one would make a profit off the houses being built.

Homeowners pay an affordable mortgage and receive financial education. Plus they help build the home along with volunteers.

Lisa Viscaina is the latest recipient of a Home from Habitat for Humanity home, she put in 600 hours worth of work in the new home working alongside other volunteers. There will be about 60 homes built in Lisa's subdivision.
