Whenever tourists are planning their vacations to Colorado, they tend to include all of the hot spots: Aspen, Telluride, Vail, Glenwood, Denver. However, Grand Junction has a multitude of fantastic experiences to offer anyone who truly needs to get away from it all.

Our Bed and Breakfasts

If you're going to vacation, then do it right. A Bed and Breakfast is the perfect way to keep your cost low, and your pampering levels high. A simple google search can yield a ton of great bed and breakfasts in the area, but here are a few of my favorites.

Highline Lake

From swimming to water skiing, wake boarding, or paddleboarding, Highline Lake is a great place to get away, and it's only minutes outside of Grand Junction. There are also picnic areas, as well as campgrounds. If you're planning on getting out and having some fun this summer, you definitely need to put Highline Lake on your list of things to do.

Colorado National Monument

The Colorado National Monument is one of the most breathtaking drives you'll ever experience. There are several great lookout points, as well as little hiking trails along the drive as well. If you need more information, feel free to visit the Colorado National Monument Website.

Palisade

I would have separated the different things you can do in Palisade, but there are too many to list. There are a few great breweries, several great wineries, the Distillery and Meadery. There are also some great parks and river trails in Palisade. Check it all out for yourself on the Town of Palisade Website.

Tabeguache Trail (Grand Junction)

The full Tabeguache trail is a massive140 mile trail that cuts from Montrose, CO all the way to Grand Junction, CO. However, the Grand Junction Trailhead is pretty rad. And it's only 5 minutes from Downtown Grand Junction. To get to the Grand Junction trailhead, go west on Grand Avenue to Hwy 340 and turn left on Monument Road. For a description of the Grand Junction Tabegauche Trail, visit the BLM Website.
