The Grand Junction Spotlight is on the Men in Heels Race on September 13 in Downtown Grand Junction. The Men In Heels Race is to benefits Hilltop's Latimer House and Domestic Violence Services.

This year marks the ninth annual Men In Heels Race. What started off with six teams, is now up to 27 teams and we're still a week out so there can always be more. I'm MCing the Men in Heels Race, which I'm extremely excited for because my coworkers are participating.

  • During the last Downtown Farmer's Market
  • 5:30 on Thursday, September 13
  • On Colorado Avenue Between 4th and 5th Street

Paige Cadman from HIlltop's Latimer House and Domestic Violence Services said this about the Men In Heels Race:

We wanted to bring awareness to domestic violence and Hilltop's Latimer House and engage men in that conversation. The rest is history -- this is the ninth annual Men in Heels where teams of five guys strap on high heels and run for domestic violence. Which is a huge issue in our community that we want to raise funds and awareness for in a fun way.

I can't wait for the Men In Heels Race, it's fun time for a great cause. Mostly I can't wait to see my boss and my coworkers running in heels. And since I'll be MCing I think I'll have the best view of it all.
