This weekend's Oktoberfest that was normally held in downtown Grand Junction was moved and downsized due to lack of funds.

According to KKCO, Grand Junction Oktoberfest 2015 was instead held at Kannah Creek's Edgewater brewery.

According to Jim Witt who is the president of the German-American club that hosts the event:

"The important thing is we are together we are going to have fun, we are going to have good music, we are going to have brats and beer from Edgewater, thanks to them, and we are just going to"

This was the first time in 33 years that the event has not been held in Downtown.  Workers and organizers are hoping that there will be enough money raised to return to downtown for the event next year.
