The Grand Junction Cannabis Action Now (GJCAN) needs 1,400 signatures in less than a week to get retail and medical marijuana on April's ballot. Here's why you need to sign the petition.

The number one reason you should sign ... money! Plain and simple. Colorado is on track to reach a record annual sales in marijuana close to $1.3 billion -- yes, BILLION. The state saw $1-billion in the first 10 months of 2016.

I mean, that could possibly help the city with their $3-million deficit, right?!

Sure, you could bring up the argument that it'll bring more crime. Well, take a look at DeBeque and Parachute. Do you see an increase in crime there?

Also, a recent survey by teens in Colorado during 2016 show no increase in their use.

GJCAN collected 3,300 signatures, which were turned over to the city for validation. After 10 days of validation, the city clerk discovered nearly half of the signatures were invalid due to residency outside the city limits. They need a total of 2,254 valid signatures to get the initiative on the ballot.

The city limits of Grand Junction are pretty wonky, as you can see in the map below.
