Earlier this week there was a story about a man flying the flag of Nazi Germany outside of his home in Fruita.

Neighbors and others in Fruita have put together a march to denounce the flying of that flag and to remind others that racism is unacceptable in any form.

Their plan is to assemble at Reid Park in Fruita and march to the house where the controversial flag was flown.

Other groups in the area have pledged support for the rally and march, which is growing in number. Comments on the group's Facebook page vary, from full support to no support at all.

The owner of the home, which is situated close to an elementary school, stated it was his right as an American to fly the flag. He has since removed it and it has not reappeared, but those who are organizing the rally are, from their comments, hopeful that those who have issues with race will take notice and join the rally and march.

Let's hope it remains peaceful.
