Firehose vs Flamethrower Which One Will Win?

You know you've wondered this yourself, I know that I have plenty of times. If you took a flamethrower and a firehose head to head, which is going to win?

I always thought that the firehose would win, simply because while fire can burn most {carbon based} things, it cannot burn water. Water, however, can put out fire. Obviously, when there are additional chemicals added to the water, it can catch fire. And in turn certain chemical fires and oil based fires water cannot put out, alone.

However, in this scenario, water triumphed and distinguished the flamethrower fairly quickly.
