Cross Orchards Historic Site is a great place to visit any time of the year, but fall brings both the spectacular colors and special activities.

Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, Cross Orchards a part of the family of the Museums of the West, offers visitors a step back in time to pioneer life in the early 1900's.

Part of the Cross Orchard charm is found in events including the annual Fall Day on the Farm Saturday (October 22) from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The fall celebration offers families the chance to learn pioneer life in a fun way. Plus, this is the last big event before the site closes for the season on October 31.

In addition to the activities, visitors can enjoy fresh baked cookies from the stove in the bunkhouse and famous Cross Orchards pressed apple cider for sale in the barn.

There will also be plenty of unique and old-time gifts and souvenirs for those wanting to get a head start on holiday shopping.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3.50 for kids, or $15 for family groups. Museum members get free admission.
