Lafayette Police Officers responded to a call from church officials claiming of an intoxicated man causing trouble. The officers arrived at Flatirons Community church and found the man in the parking lot.

The man the proceeded to drive off, and actually struck a police officer with his vehicle during his escape. The officer (who's name has not yet been released) was rushed to the hospital and treated and later released.

The Boulder Camera reported that a woman had called and reported seeing the man's car that the police were looking for, at a park in Louisville, Colo. The suspect was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest.

As if being caught driving drunk wasn't bad enough, this guy is going to be in a heap of trouble for hitting a police officer and fleeing from the scene. Next time you've had a little too much, how about you just stay at home. Sheesh.
