Mother Nature has turned up the cold in the Grand Valley. If you are anything like me, you do not like to get into a cold car. I am definitely not a huge fan of scraping windows.The Western Colorado Auto Theft Task Force (WCATT) and Coloradans Against Auto statewide awareness along with the Grand Junction Police Department know that getting into a cold car can be annoying. If you run out and start your car, or leave your car running in a parking lot while running into get a hot coffee, could cost you.

Thieves look for "puffers". Cars running unattended. It only takes a second for a thief to jump into your car and take off. This could cost you your automobile.

30 percent of Colorado Drivers admit that they have left their cars running while doing something else. Did you know you could be ticketed for doing this?

Leaving a vehicle running unattended is illegal in the state of Colorado. So bundle up, and shake it off. It will only be cold for a minute or so, then your automobile will be toasty warm!

Protect yourself, your automobile, and your possessions. Lock your car, and never leave it running unattended.
