My conversation about self image with Disney Channel's Miranda May sparked after we started talking about the show Liv and Maddie. Miranda was on the show and having a positive self image is a huge theme.

She loved being on the episode Rate-a-Rooney on Liv and Maddie. Miranda has had a lot of acting experience, from E.R. to Disney Channel's BUNK'D. Since she's struggled with her own self image, Miranda has some good advice about how to have a positive one.

Miranda says that she's struggled with a lot, such as her weight and her appearance. She says that no matter  what -- rock who you are. Be confident and proud of how you look. All that matter is how you feel about yourself and not what anyone else thinks.

She says to do whatever makes you happy and:

If you like doing your hair, if you don't like doing your hair, if you like wearing a lot of make up or if you don't, do whatever makes you happy, do it. And don't let anybody tell you that you're wrong for it. Because as long as you wake up everyday and you have a smile on your face, it does not matter what anyone else thinks.

I've come to realize as I've gotten older, that weight doesn't have much to do with your self image. Miranda says...

that you always have this image of what beauty is in your mind, but you have to 'X' that out and accept your own beauty. There is no 'one' perfect beauty.
