Thank you, Lord. Today is National Cheesecake Day. In my book, it may be a sin to not like cheesecake. Cheesecake has a fancy, rich flavor, with a fancy, rich history.

Let's celebrate this delightful day with a few fun facts and some brilliant easy recipes.

Fact #1

Cheesecake is so wonderful that it not only gets one National Day, it gets four! Yes, that is correct, FOUR! July 30, is the “official,” national cheesecake day. April 23, would be national cherry cheesecake. May 26, national blueberry, and October 21, the best cheesecake ever, national pumpkin cheesecake day.

Fact #2

Cheesecake has been around for some time. It’s known that cheesecake was given to Greek Olympic athletes before their events to give them energy.

Fact #3

The largest cheesecake ever made was displayed at the Lowville Cream Cheese Festival, on September 21, 2013.  It was a whopping 6,900 pounds.
