Colorado State Patrol doesn't just watch out for us people, they watch out for pups, too, apparently. Stop what you're doing, and brace yourselves for the story of Little Trooper (and waterworks).

Usually CSP makes us laugh with their videos about turn signals, roundabouts and Kyle Clark, but not today. Today, CSP got me at my desk right now like:

According to Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association, a few weeks back, a CSP trooper heard a noise outside their office in Trinidad (which is next to a freeway exit), finding the source to be a newborn puppy; eyes closed and umbilical cord still attached.

ALONE AND CRYING. BY A FREEWAY EXIT, YOU GUYS.

The officer took the puppy to Fisher’s Peak Veterinary Clinic, and he was later taken to NAAWA, where he is in great shape and on hold for adoption.
Of course, they named this puppy 'Trooper.' Oh, and he's also maintaining a Twitter account where you can follow his journey.
