Colorado State Patrol trooper hit and killed on I-25
A Colorado State Patrol says the trooper hit by a vehicle on I-25 near Castle Rock has died.
9:30 p.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes of the interstate, just south of Castle Rock near Plum Creek Parkway is where a Colorado State Patrol Trooper was hit and killed.
According to Thedeverchannel.com The trooper was investigating a minor crash at the time. It's not clear if the trooper was inside of a vehicle at the time.
The Colorado State Patrol is confirming that the woman died but they did not give her name. According to Russell Haythorn it was
The southbound lanes of I-25 were closed for this investigation but troopers had shut down northbound lanes, as well. The Colorado State Patrol says this closure will last for an extended period of time.
The driver was taken into custody.
