The Colorado Mesa Women Mavericks are Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champions for the first time since the late 90's. Not only are they the RMAC Champions but they are also the #1 team in the South Central Region and will host the Regional Tournament this weekend.

After the Mavericks beat out Regis, Fort Lewis and Colorado Christian to win the RMAC Championship, they were crowned the #1 team in the Region and will host the tournament this weekend. They will once again face the Fort Lewis Skyhawks in the first round for the fourth meeting between these two teams this season. The game will kick off at 6:00pm in Brownson Arena on Friday night. If the Mavs win on Friday night they will take on the winner of the Abilene Christian and Texas Permian Basin game.

Also in the South Central Regional tournament from the RMAC are Fort Lewis as mentioned and Metro State College. Metro State will take on St. Mary's Texas in the first round.

If the Mavericks can win the South Central Regional Tournament they will move on to the Elite 8 Tournament and take on the winner from the East Region Tournament. Come out to Brownson Arena this Friday and support your Colorado Mesa RMAC Champions.
