The dry, and in some places, warm fall in Colorado has made it difficult for ski areas to open. But two ski areas have had just enough cold to manufacture snow mother nature hasn't provided.

The two areas, Keystone and Breckenridge have temperatures that allow snowmaking equipment to get a base on some slopes.

Both areas are opening this weekend. They join Arapahoe Basin and Loveland who already opened with limited terrain a few weeks ago.

A winter storm moving through Colorado will add at least a few more inches of the white stuff, making some decent early season conditions at the two resorts.

Keystone is scheduled to open Friday, November 18 and Breckenridge will open Saturday, November 19.

Vail, which also planned to open this weekend, is delaying their opening due to limited snow. Conditions permitting, Vail will open Friday, November 25.

Other Colorado ski areas may open this weekend, or maybe next, depending on how much snow they get from the recent storm.
