Are You the Next P.A. Announcer for the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks?

If this is your dream job,  you might be the next public address announcer for the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks.

The CMU Athletic Department is looking for a new P.A. announcer for the sports of volleyball, basketball, baseball and football. Announcers will be hired on a per sports basis and the pay will be relative to experience.

Being a good P.A. announcer is actually harder than you might think. Of course, for starters you need to have a good, strong voice. It is also imperative that you have the ability to enunciate clearly and concisely, and read aloud smoothly.

Having some knowledge about the sports you are calling is essential so that you use the right terminology, phrases, and jargon. It also will help you to know when to talk.

Of course, CMU officials I'm sure will give their P.A. announcers some guidelines to follow as well as outline specific expectations.
