5 Things Only Grand Junction Natives Would Do
There are so many things to love about the Grand Junction area. The sites, the sounds, and most of all the people. Being the newbie to the area, I conducted a survey to find out what exactly Grand Junction Natives do that is different from any place else in the world.
So what do Grand Junction Natives Do?
1. Stand out in the snow in a pair of shorts Grand Junction
Natives find this to be something that just happens in the Valley. It might look funny, but it happens.
2. Make out on the Mesa-
Oh....a night under the stars with someone that you love. Rumor has it that many children here in the Grand Junction area were from a night of romance on the Mesa.
3. Take a jar of dirt with you if you leave the Grand Valley (The Grand Valley Curse)
Local legend has it that the Ute Native American tribe cursed the valley, where no non-native can live here and leave without coming back. Unless they bring a jar of dirt with them from the valley.
4. Go to Wal-Mart in their Pajama's-
This strikes me as not only goofy, but just plain weird. I am going to just chalk this one up to being comfortable while you shop, but it is a sight to see!
5. Attend 19 Ballgames in one week, and cheer for teams and players they know nothing about.-
Grand Junction loves it's sports! Anything about them! Natives, will take in any sports activity possible and cheer like no other. This does make Grand Junction Natives unique.
